  • How do I request a trial date for my Cayuga traffic ticket or speeding ticket?

In order to request a trial date for your Cayuga traffic ticket or speeding ticket, you need to file a Notice of Intention to Appear at a provincial offences office within 15 days of receiving the ticket.  Alternatively, you can request your trial date online through Road Warriors for $19.99 to save you from taking the time off work in order to do so.

  • How can I pay my Cayuga traffic ticket or speeding ticket?

Before paying your Cayuga traffic ticket or speeding ticket, please be advised that paying your traffic ticket means you are pleading guilty to the offence.  Once you plead guilty, the traffic ticket or speeding ticket will be on your driving record.  Alternatively, requesting a trial date online for your traffic ticket or speeding ticket can buy you additional time to decide whether to fight your Cayuga traffic ticket or if you need additional time to pay your traffic ticket fine.  Your trial date will likely be scheduled 3+ months from the date your request is submitted.  During this time period, the traffic ticket will not be on your driving record.  While waiting for your trial date, you will still have several options available to you - you can choose to retain a paralegal firm, fight the ticket yourself, or decide later on to simply pay the ticket and plead guilty to the offence.  If you do wish to pay your Cayuga traffic ticket or speeding ticket, you can pay in person at any provincial offences court in Ontario by cash, cheque, debit, VISA, or MC.  Payments can also be sent by mail to the Cayuga provincial offences office.  Simply complete the required information on the payment notice and return it in the self-addressed envelope provided with your ticket, together with the signed Offence Notice and your payment.  All cheques and money orders should be made payable to "Haldimand County" and the offence notice number must be written on the front of cheques or money orders.

  • How do I contact the Cayuga prosecutor to obtain the evidence for my traffic ticket or speeding ticket?

For a Part 1 Cayuga traffic ticket or speeding ticket, you may request the evidence (or disclosure) by sending a fax to (905) 772-5810.  It is always a good idea to contact the Cayuga provincial offences office at (905) 772-3327 to confirm the fax number in case the prosecutor's fax number has changed since this page was created.  Please also be advised that if you were charged with a Part 3 traffic offence and have been summoned to court, it would be wise to seek the advice of a paralegal or law firm.  Part 3 charges are more serious offences, which can result in heavy fines, licence suspension, and even imprisonment.  Please feel free to contact us for our rates to defend your Cayuga traffic ticket or speeding ticket.
